Let's listen to what the World Health Organisation has to say ...

But animals are not property but rather thinking, feeling sentient beings with personality just like you and me ...

We have become so indoctrinated by culture, and hypnotised by society that it's almost as if we're incapable of thinking for ourselves. People say the words "humane slaughter" without ever putting any rational thought into what that actually means. To examine if something is humane, first put yourself in the victim's position and decide if you would want that treatment for yourself. People say the animals are stunned first before having their throats slit open (which is widely unsuccessful) but so what? If a guy slipped a rohypnol, aka date rape drug, into my drink and then raped me when I was unconscious would that suddenly make the rape humane? Justified? Is that how it's going to be? Can we explain away and justify all acts of violence as long as the victim wasn't conscious to experience it? Are we really going to take on the whole "if a tree falls in the woods but no one can hear it" mentality in regards matters or the most egregious acts of violence imaginable? It is not up to us to decide for animals what killing method is humane when it's not our lives being taken. Humane slaughter does not exist. It's time to pop the bubble you all live in and start looking at this rationally and morally. If you really think "humane slaughter" does exist, here's what I suggest you do, take a a few minutes and ask yourself how you'd like to be murdered (for unnecessary reasons), what killing method would you best like to be murdered by? What's the ideal way for someone else to take your life and reduce you to nothing, for someone else's profit or pleasure? Please comment below to let us all know. How would you choose to be "humanely" murdered. It's time to wake up morally and give animals the same basic moral consideration that you would give anyone else who is self aware, who can feel emotionally and physically just like we can. Animals don't want or deserve to die. GO VEGAN πŸ’š EDUCATE OTHERS Video clip from Live and let live. @letlivefilm #vegan #steak #beef #pork #bacon #janedoe7x #equality

superactivist: Meat farmers like to make you think that most of your meat comes from this wide open beautiful space where the animals run around and live happy lives. More than 80% of meat however, doesn't come from a happy life. Factory farms are so common because the demand for meat is so high. Female animals are forcibly impregnated and have their babies killed if they aren't born perfect. Even if they are born perfect, they are mutilated and tortured their entire lives until they are brutally slaughtered. If you don't support this cruelty, don't buy meat. It's that simple. For every product you buy you pay for another to be born to die! #vegan #vegans #veganism #govegan #pig #pigs #animal #animals #animallover #animalabuse #animallovers #animalcruelty #stopthis #savetheanimals #meat #meatismurder #vegetarian #vegetarians #activism #activist #animalrights #abuse

On the contrary! It isn't veganism that is extreme!

Friends don't eat each other no they don't!

Love them don't eat them!! Simple really.

But I did first spend 20 years being only vegetarian, thinking it was OK, I was doing something. But really it's just as complicit in the enslavement of sentient beings for my own pleasure as any meat eater. Being vegan is easy and feels so much better. I've found lots of wonderful new recipes and foods. A whole world has opened up and it's awesome.
