We love animals ...

A post shared by Ⓥegan (@jane_doe7x) on

I have copy pasted the text from this post because this mirrors how I feel. It brings me great sadness to read but know there is a need to share.

I'm sorry that you are born, and fed to die. I'm sorry that we cage you. I'm sorry that we mutilate you. I'm sorry that we depersonalise you. I'm sorry we strip you of your inherent rights.

I'm sorry we brand you, punch holes in you and number you. I'm sorry we electrocute you, shoot a rod into your head, and painfully gas you, to stun you prior to cutting your throats open and bleeding you to death. I'm sorry that we convince ourselves that these cruel acts make your murder humane. I'm sorry that all too often you are fully conscious and aware at the moment that knife slices through your jugular.

I'm sorry that you're beaten to force you to go where you're too terrified to go willingly. I'm sorry that you're jabbed with electrically charged rods in your bodies, face and genitals to force you onto that kill floor.

I'm sorry you smell the blood and death that surrounds you, and it triggers such a fear in you that I can't even begin to image it. I'm sorry you witness the violent deaths of your peers, while you grow ever more terrified.

I'm sorry you all huddle together but they still come and show no mercy.

I'm sorry that you are scalded alive, skinned alive and dismembered alive.

I'm sorry that people will see this video and still try to explain it away, trying to justify it.

I'm sorry that I ever had the audacity to claim that I loved you, while I exploited you, while you died hanging upside down bleeding from your neck, for food I didn't even need to eat.

I'm sorry for every one of your babies that were stolen from you after birth and violently killed, so I could eat your secretions. I'm sorry we continue to do this to you.

I'm sorry for every time I got upset and focused on my feelings over your physical, mental and emotional torture. YOUR HOLOCAUST. I have no right to do that. I have my freedom. I'm not caged. I won't be exploited, mutilated and violently murdered for my body. I am free. I have nothing to complain about. I truly do love you and I'll fight for you until I die or you are liberated.

To everyone else, please ....GO VEGAN AND EDUCATE OTHERS 💚

Lack of humanity ...

Watch the video here

The animals that we routinely and apathetically exploit and kill, have their own interest in living, they value their own lives. They don't want to die. Yet we choose to ignore this fact, we continue to eat them, eat their secretions, wear their skins, and use them. Despite knowing that we do not need to eat animals or their secretions in order to live and be healthy, we continue to frivolously use and consume animals.

Jeremy Bentham once said that "The question is not can they reason, nor can they talk? But rather, can they suffer?"
A fair enough question for a person to ask during his time, but it's not by itself morally valid anymore, because we now know that animals do reason, they do solve problems, puzzles and exhibit intentional behaviours.
Not only should all sensitive beings be granted moral consideration, but all sentient beings should be granted equal moral consideration. Meaning that every sentient being, be they human or non human, has the inherent moral right not to be treated as property, not to be exploited, tormented or murdered. The animals that we deny these basic inherent rights to, should not be greedily bred, produced for our frivolous purposes, and perceived only as replaceable resources.
Considering that it is absolutely unnecessary for us to eat animals and their secretions for our health and survival, there is no argument against veganism that you put forth that carries any moral weight.
If you believe that it's morally wrong to cause unnecessary suffering, harm and death on animals for our pleasure or convenience (meaning tastebuds and laziness), then your only moral and logical response to that belief is veganism.
If you eat animals, and dairy, eggs etc then you are absolutely inflicting unnecessary suffering, harm and death on animals. If you are a vegetarian, continuing to eat dairy and egg products, you are inflicting unnecessary suffering, harm and death on animals. Just as I did before going vegan.
It's almost 2017, we need to start making all animal use, abuse and murder history.
We need to evolve morally, for all sentient beings and the earth on which we depend.

Children understand

Link to post this is copied from

Before anyone says anything about race or culture, let's remember this is sad because the child connects to the animal... that is the essence ... this situation doesn't happen in our society, as we are fed little pieces on a plate growing up not knowing how it came to be there ... if kids were shown how slaughter works you'd be pretty sure they would freak out, so reality is hidden away and the disconnection grows deeper and deeper, so deep it is ingrained in our existence and we end up not knowing any better... if it upsets you to see this dead dog cooked for food then it should in theory upset you to sit down to eat chicken. If it doesn't upset you, that's the conditioning talking. Think about that. speciesism is all around ... step out of the conditioning, wake up!

Superactivist - Her face says more than 1000 words. Humans are born compassionate, and as they are taught things in life, they change. She was born in a mind set to be compassionate and love animals. As her life goes, she will be taught hatred and violence. THIS GOES FOR ALL MEAT PRODUCTS. You never met the animal before you ate it. It doesn't matter what type of animal. They all deserve love, not to be fried or grilled and put on a plate for someone's tastebuds. You think dog meat is bad? Look around you. People around you are eating cows, pigs, chickens, deer, ducks, turkeys, donkeys, rabbits, and squirrels. That's even more destructive than eating dogs. Almost all of the animals you put on your plate are highly social. All meat is bad. Meat is the murder of innocent living beings. Do the world a favor, and GO VEGAN💖🌱🐶

The ugly reality

Link to movie - French slaughterhouse

Here a terrified pig desperately tries to escape slaughter but as always no mercy is shown. Instead he or she is sprayed, doused with water then repeatedly electrocuted, this is actual torture. All the while another individual is being slaughtered right by his or her side. Then the pig is repeatedly stabbed in the throat.

It doesn't matter what country it is, a slaughterhouse is a slaughterhouse. Buildings constructed for the sole purpose of killing and dismembering animals. In these slaughterhouses stunning (where practiced) is all too often ineffective due to mass stunning, improper stunning practices, worker carelessness, and also due to the fact workers can't keep up with the fast production lines.

As a result the failed stunning attempts only add to their suffering, and all too often the animals are fully conscious as their throats are slit open, they are also commonly scalded alive, skinned alive and dismembered alive. We have no right to pass judgement on any other country, we all needlessly and violently murder these animals in our countries, and if we are not vegan, we pay for it. We're equally complicit in it.

It's called a SLAUGHTER house, how in sanity can we assume anything humane happens within it's blood soaked walls.

Reject violence.

The holocaust continues ... Make the connection

Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't happening.  And just because someone else is doing it doesn't make it OK.  If you love animals please consider a vegan diet and stop supporting animal exploitation by voting for it with your dollars.
